Care organisations from around the City will be teaming up at Aberdeen’s first Care Sector Jobs Fair, taking place at the Beacon Centre, Bucksburn on Friday 25th September 2015 from 10am – 2pm.
The exhibition is set to showcase the exciting opportunities and work that the industry has to offer. Big-name exhibitors have already confirmed their support including SAMH, NHS Grampian, Aberdeen City Council, Inspire, Turning Point Scotland, Penumbra, Archway, and Skills Development Scotland including their ‘My World of Work’ interactive exhibition; along with many more organisations covering private, public & charitable sectors.
Event organiser, Mark McDonald MSP comments: “I’m very excited about the upcoming Jobs Fair. We will have a host of organisations in attendance who incorporate a wide spectrum of the care industry offering a diverse range of opportunities for people from all backgrounds.
“I have organised the event as an opportunity for the wider public, as well as job seekers, to hear about some of the fantastic work that these organisations are involved in as they provide an extensive range of services to the North East of Scotland.
“As well as some top care industry employers and service providers, Skills Development Scotland will be on hand to offer advice and guidance for job seekers throughout all industries. Attendees will be able to take advantage of a number of free interactive workshops such as interview tips and CV writing skills to help give them that extra edge when applying for jobs, or attending interviews.
“I invite anyone who is looking for work, or interested in hearing more about how the care industry functions, to come along to this free event and talk to some of our experienced exhibitors. If you are a job seeker, this is a chance to take advantage of some of the fantastic services on offer, designed to hone your job seeking skills.”
The event is open to the public and free to attend. For further information, contact Mark McDonald’s constituency office on 01224 789457.
