Mark McDonald today announced the winner of his annual Christmas card competition. Grace Snell of Kingswells P3 class will have her design made into an e-card and sent to MSP's and local people, organisations, and businesses across the city as Mr McDonald's 2015 Christmas card.
Every year, the Aberdeen Donside MSP invites school children from across his constituency to design a Christmas card which he can send out to his contacts, with the winner and three runner ups receiving a £25 book token as a prize.
"This year I held a competition to design my Christmas card.
"The competition was open to all P3 pupils in my constituency and the winner this year was Grace Snell from Kingswells Primary. Whilst visiting Kingswells Primary to present her prize and certificate, I asked Grace what her inspiration was for her design. She said that she could have gone for a tree or a snowman but decided to draw the Christmas story so that my card could represent the meaning of Christmas.
" I agree with her, and hope she enjoys spending the £25 book token prize that comes with her win. Well done Grace!"
Winner: Grace Snell, Primary 3, Kingswells Primary School
Runner Up 1: Faye Wilson, Primary 3, Kingswells Primary School
Runner Up 2: Cole Neil, Quarryhill Primary School
Runner Up 3: Jamie Stewart, Fernielea Primary School
