"Residents will recall that I have lobbied Scottish Government and BT regarding the need for properties which had been defined as outside of commercial activity to be the focus of attention in relation to the superfast rollout.
"I am delighted to be able to confirm that, following my lobbying efforts, Scottish Government will finance work to provide fibre to the property once BT has confirmed that the technical solution they have identified will be effective. This work is underway, and it is hoped that by the end of this year that properties could be fully connected.
"At this stage I am not in a position to state which specific streets will be affected as a result of these works, but once I have received those details from Scottish Government I will be writing to residents to advise.
"Hopefully residents will soon see some activity locally as BT undertake the necessary checks and then work gets underway.
"I am pleased that Scottish Government were able to take this matter up with BT following my meetings with them, and that Kingswells residents will soon be looking forward to improved broadband services as a result."
