Mark has been heavily involved in the Changing Places campaign, alongside the Profound and Multiple Impairment Service (PAMIS), who have been leading the campaign in Scotland, as well as the Changing Places Consortium, who are also supporting and promoting the campaign. Mark raised the prospect of a Changing Places Toilet with former MD of Aberdeen Airport, Carol Benzie, at the beginning of the airport terminal redevelopment.
Following the news, Mark has tabled a motion in the Scottish Parliament to welcome the accreditation.
Commenting Mark said:
“As someone who has campaigned for Changing Places Toilets to be much more widely available, I am delighted to see this development.
“The installation of a Changing Places toilet at Aberdeen Airport is something I have previously raised and it is great news for travellers who will benefit from more appropriate, accessible facilities and can thus enjoy their travelling experience with the dignity the rest of us take for granted.”
