Aberdeen City Council have since written to some residents apologising that the original planning documents for the 100-home scheme by Bancon were not clear enough. However, residents state that should they have known about the scale prior they would have complained en masse, meaning the development would have had to be scrutinised by the planning committee.
“I have written to the council and they have confirmed that the initial drawings that were approved for the development did not demonstrate the elevations the residents are now experiencing.
“It’s now about trying to find a way to get further mitigation that will benefit the residents of Forrit Brae.
“I have spoken to people in Forrit Brae about setting up a meeting between the council, the developer and the residents and this is something I will be pursuing.”
