Joining fellow members at tonight's Cross Party Group on Mental Health, the group kicked off the Healthy Start, Healthy Scotland Campaign which aims to promote education and awareness and campaign for service development in order to ensure the best possible mental health for women, their infants and families, with a particular focus on pregnancy and on the infant’s first 12 months.
"It was a great pleasure to help launch the Royal College of Psychiatrists Scotland's Healthy Start, Healthy Scotland campaign at tonight's Cross Party Group on Mental Health.
"Maternal mental health is a very important issue and one which I have a very strong interest in.
"I hope the work that the RCPS intend to do to increase awareness and pull different groups together will help ensure that families get the support they need at the right time."
