It was announced earlier this year that Brimmond Medical Group would be dissolving on October 1st. Following an meeting between Mark McDonald and Malcolm Wright, the Chief Executive of NHS Grampian, assurances were given that all patients at Brimmond would continue to have access to Primary Healthcare services after this date.
Commenting Mark said:
“I have requested a joint meeting with both Scotstown and Gilbert Road medical groups to ensure that the process of transferring patients is a successful one.
“Whilst cast iron assurances have been made, it is vital for the welfare of patients that they will continue to be updated over the coming month to alleviate any anxiety that patients may have about the changes on October 1st.
“I look forward to discussing the arrangements with NHS Grampian and practice representatives where I will put patients at the forefront of discussions to ensure that the transition is one that is both sustainable in the long term and beneficial to patients."
