General Manager, Dr Sorcha Hume, visited the Aberdeen Donside MSPS's local constituency office to share the plans which aim to increase support for children with complex, life limiting disabilities. The charity currently runs a range of projects for families including a monthly Saturday Club, days out for siblings, short breaks and ongoing support and information services.
"I met with Dr Sorcha Hume, General Manager of Charlie House, to discuss the plans to develop a children's hospice in Aberdeen to support children with complex, life limiting disabilities.
"Sorcha discussed with me the plans that the organisation have in terms of developing the facility and how it would provide local support for families.
"Charlie House was started by my constituent, Tracy Johnstone, whose son Louis has complex needs and requires significant support. I have been supportive of the organisation and its aims for some time now, and reiterated to Sorcha my willingness to do what I can to help support Charlie House."
