The event this year was his most successful yet as it took on a personal touch with Mark hoping to acknowledge the support his late father, who sadly lost his battle with cancer in February of this year, received from the charity.
"For me, the event this year takes on a very personal dimension. I lost my father to cancer in February of this year, he was only sixty years old. During the course of his brave fight against the disease, he was supported by Macmillan nurses. My family saw first-hand the important work that is being done by this organisation and their dedicated support staff.
"The Macmillan event gives me the opportunity to give a little something back to Macmillan for the support they offered to my dad, and to our family, during the time of his illness."
"It was fantastic to see such a great turnout from the community, helping to raise a magnificent sum for a charity that is dear to so many across Scotland, including myself."
