In a letter to the Chief Executive of Clydesdale Bank, David Duffy, Mark has requested a meeting to discuss the closure of the branch located within Mastrick Shopping Centre this summer where he will urge them to reconsider their position.
Commenting, Mark said:
“The closure of the Clydesdale Bank in Mastrick will have a significant and detrimental impact on the community and local businesses in the area.
“As the closest Clydesdale Bank branches to Mastrick are in Dyce and Queen’s Road which are not easily accessed by public transport, I fear that older people and residents on a low income will be severely affected by the loss of their local bank.
“I firmly believe that this closure does not serve the best interests of the people of Mastrick and I hope Clydesdale bosses will agree to meet with me and think again about the impact this closure will have on the local community.”
