The campaign aims to build awareness and promote the message on the positive impact sports can have on both individual people and the Scottish population as a whole.
According to the SSA research and case studies have shown that various areas can be impacted including, health & mental health, education, employment, economy, older adults & social cafe, personal skills & society overall.
Commenting on his conversation with the Scottish Sports Association, Mark said:
"It was good to talk to the Scottish Sports Association in parliament about why sport matters.
"Sport contributes to physical, mental & community well-being and, as someone who was a keen sportsman in my youth, and who was a volunteer coach prior to entering politics, I am committed to increasing participation in sport and improving community facilities where possible."
